Retention of Creases in Fabrics After Repeated Home Laundering

1 PURPOSE AND SCOPE: To evaluate retention of pressed-in creases in fabrics after repeated home laundering. 2 PRINCIPLE: Creased fabric samples are subjected to standard home laundering practices, and evaluated for crease retention. Evaluation is performed by rating appearance of samples in comparison with appropriate reference standards using a standard lighting and viewing area . 3 REFERENCE: AATCC Test Method 88C-2010, Retention of Creases in Fabrics after Repeated Home Laundering. 4 APPARATUS: 4.1 Automatic washing machine 4.2 Automatic tumble dryer 4.3 Drip dry and line dry facilities. 4.4 1993 AATCC Standard Reference Detergent 4.5 Standard AATCC Three-dimensional Crease Replicas, set of five 4.6 Ballast of 92 x 92 cm (36 x 36 in.) hemmed pieced of bleached 100% cotton sheeting or 50% polyester and 50% cotton bleached and mercerized poplin 4.7 Lighting and evaluation area in an otherwise darkened room 4.8 Scale with at least 5 kg (10 lb.) capac

How Sublimation Fastness Tester Works?

Sublimation Fastness Tester is a suitable instrument for dyestuff manufacturers as well as textile processors for checking effects of dry heat on dyestuff. Qinsun-lab offers Sublimation Fastness Tester of the best quality and at the best price which gives accurate results.    Features of Sublimation Fastness Tester : Testing the effect of direct heat on the dyestuff; up to 250°C temperature range; Independent digital timers with the minimum display of 1℃(one with each of top and bottom plates, respectively); Can test entire range of temperature in a single test.                           Working Principle: A dyed cloth piece is sandwiched between two undyed pieces and placed to cover the heat pads and the test goes on for a preset time period. The fabric pieces should be picked up immediately. The undyed fabric pieces will be stained by the dyes. This gives the sublimation fastness properties for the range of temperature 130°C to 250°C in one test. A rea

Operating Procedures of Glow Wire Testing

Glow wire tester will specify the material and shape of the electric wire with a large current heated to the test temperature, the specified pressure (1.0N) vertical hot test sample 30s, depending on the test and bedding is ignited or burning time to determine Electrical and electronic equipment, the risk of fire products; Determination of solid insulation materials and other solid combustible materials, ignition, ignition temperature, flammability and flammability index. Glow Wire testing Apparatus Operating procedures 1, glow-wire test machine before the preparation of the operation 2, be sure to read the use of instructions, and follow the instructions step, followed by operation; 3, do not use non-original accessories, so as to avoid danger; 4, glow wire test machine on the room to the oil ventilation equipment (or with a special ventilation hood in a small laboratory), in order to test the exhaust after the discharge. 5, the two matching weights with copper wire (con

Test Methods for Circular Locus Pilling Test Machine

The common test methods for deciding the piling performance of fabric are chamber piling method, martindale piling method, the elastic pad method, circular locus piling method and random tumble type piling method and so on. Each test method varies due to the difference of fabric materials, usages and product export places. The main methods used in each region are classified as follows: Martindale  piling method - European market Chamber piling method   - European market Random tumble type piling method  -  American market, including Japan and Canada Circular locus piling method   - Chinese market The wide range of the applicability of  circular locus  pilling method is the most common test method used in our country. Its corresponding Chinese standard is  GB/T  4802.2.  The instrument used in this method is cheap, simple in structure and easy to operate with relatively high recognition by its clients. The basic test principle of  Circular Locus Piling Test Machine:    in acc

Function of Crockmeter Rubbing fastness Tester

Crockmeter Rubbing fastness Tester is used to determine colorfastness of textile to dry or wet rubbing, fitted with hand crank/counter. Provided with a steel specimen holder and 16mm diameter test finger. Electronic Crockmeter Rubbing fastness Tester is designed to carry out a rub fastness test on the surface of leather or coated fabrics. The rub fastness test determines the marring of the surface finish and assesses the amount of color transfer from the sample to the rubbing pad. The test can be carried out under dry or wet conditions using a dry rubbing pad, or by pre-wetting the rubbing pad in distilled water or a sweat solution prior to testing. The abrasion effect of soiling on upper materials can also be tested on this machine. Using a small profiled rubber pad in place of felt pad, samples can be tested for the effect. Abrasion of shoe uppers by soiling material can be caused in normal wear particularly when wearers cross their legs and the sole of one foot rests o
