How The spray rating tester Works

The spray rating tester comprises a metal framework allowing distilled water to be sprayed through a nozzle onto a test specimen at 45° and 150mm below the nozzle. The appearance of the specimen is compared against an standard photographic scale.A certain volume of distilled water is sprayed into the center of the fixed sample.

Before testing is carried out the specimen shall be conditioned for at least 24hours in the standard atmosphere. Water sprayed against the taut surface of a test specimen under controlled conditions produces a wetted pattern whose size depends on the relative repellency of the fabric.
-To carry out the test, first of all fasten the test specimens securely in the metal hoop of the water repellency tester so that it represents a smooth wrinkle free surface and place it face up on the tester.
-Adjust the metal hoop so that the centre of the spray coincides with the centre of the metal hoop. Later pour 250 ml of distilled water at normal temperature into the funnel and spray the whole quantity on the test specimen for a period of 25 - 30 sec.
-Now detach the metal hoop from the stand. Confirm whether water had penetrated to the back of the test specimen. With the face side of the test specimen down, hold the metal hoop by one edge and tap the opposite edge lightly once against the table.
-Then rotate it 180°C and similarly tap again once on the point previously held to remove any excess water drop.
-The final step is to compare the wetting of the test specimen with a photographic rating standard and grade it accordingly.

The Water Repellency Tester confirms with the international standards and comes under warranty. All this help provide customer satisfaction that promotes long term customer relationship which is our ultimate objective at B-Tex Engineering.

How To Process The Elmendorf Tear Strength Test

The Elmendorf tear tester has been developed specially for the paper industry and is outstanding for simplicity of operation and high measurement accuracy. The exchangeable pendulum is equipped with a pneumatic sample clamp. The initiation and return of the pendulum, as well as sample cutting is completely automatic. The device is operated via an integrated touch screen, where the test method can be selected, specific settings can be adjusted, and, after the measurement, results and statistics can be  displayed. Each pendulum is supplied with the appropriate control weight so that, with the help of the service program, it can easily be checked for functionality and balance. The Elmendorf tear test Procedure:     Cotton fabric was taken.     Warp and weft direction of the fabric was identified.     Two strips were cut from the fabric in both directions having dimensions of 100 x 63.5 mm.     The sample was then fixed in the jaws of the ...

How Sublimation Fastness Tester Works?

Sublimation Fastness Tester is a suitable instrument for dyestuff manufacturers as well as textile processors for checking effects of dry heat on dyestuff. Qinsun-lab offers Sublimation Fastness Tester of the best quality and at the best price which gives accurate results.    Features of Sublimation Fastness Tester : Testing the effect of direct heat on the dyestuff; up to 250°C temperature range; Independent digital timers with the minimum display of 1℃(one with each of top and bottom plates, respectively); Can test entire range of temperature in a single test.                           Working Principle: A dyed cloth piece is sandwiched between two undyed pieces and placed to cover the heat pads and the test goes on for a preset time period. The fabric pieces should be picked up immediately. The undyed fabric pieces will be stained by the dyes. This gives the sublimation fastness ...
