Test Steps With Hydrostatic Head Tester

Hydrostatic head tester is used to measure the water penetration resistance of fabrics and seams, providing a quick and accurate test result.

The specimen is secured by means of a hand operated clamp. Once the process is engaged the pressure is controlled in a slow and even motion to avoid extreme exertion on the material. The digital gauge can be read in either kPa (kiloPascal) or psi (pounds per square inch) or Bar.The test specimen is then visually observed for any evidence of water penetration.

Test Specimens
A minimum of three fabric specimens should be taken diagonally across the width of the fabric to be representative of the material.
Cut specimens at least 200x200 mm to allow properclamping.
Handle the specimens as little as possible and avoid folding or contaminating the area to be tested.
  Condition the test specimens at 21 – 2°C (70 – 5°F) air at 65 – 2% RH for at least 4 h before testing.
The surface of the fabric to be ex-posed to water must be specified because different results may be obtained on the face and the back. Identify that surface on a corner of each specimen.

Test Procedure with Hydrostatic head tester:
  1 、Verify the water in contact with the test specimen is regulated at 21 – 2°C (70 – 5°F).
  2 、Dry the clamping surface.
3 、Clamp the specimen with the surface to be tested facing the water .
  4、 Operation.
            Option Hydrostatic Pressure Tester
       1) Turn on the motor, press the le-ver to raise the overflow device at the rate of 10 mm/s, and close the air vent as soon as water flows from it.
       2)Option  Hydrostatic Head Tester
Select the gradient of 60 mbar/ min, press the start button .
5、 Disregarding water droplets that appear within approximately 3 mm adja-cent to the edge of the specimen clamp-ing ring, record the hydrostatic pressure at the moment water droplets penetrate the fabric in three different places.

The Leather Friction Color Fastness Tester

Leather friction color fastness tester applied to test leather property in shoes, clothing, luggage handbag industry, research laboratories; commodity inspection, arbitration and technical supervision departments.Leather friction color fastness tester test the degree of decolorization of dyeing leather after friction. It can used to test the leather color resistance to dry, wet and friction. This instrument is suitable for leather, textile, belt, trademarks, cardboard and other friction materials by foreign object damage and decoloring. The machine is designed to carry out a rub fastness test on the surface of leather or coated fabrics to determine the marring of the surface finish and to assess the amount of color transfer from the sample to the rubbing pad. This machine is designed to determining the colorfastness of leather, plastics and textile materials. The colorfastness is assessed by checking change in color of the specimen and stain of the felt after rubbing the ...

How Sublimation Fastness Tester Works?

Sublimation Fastness Tester is a suitable instrument for dyestuff manufacturers as well as textile processors for checking effects of dry heat on dyestuff. Qinsun-lab offers Sublimation Fastness Tester of the best quality and at the best price which gives accurate results.    Features of Sublimation Fastness Tester : Testing the effect of direct heat on the dyestuff; up to 250°C temperature range; Independent digital timers with the minimum display of 1℃(one with each of top and bottom plates, respectively); Can test entire range of temperature in a single test.                           Working Principle: A dyed cloth piece is sandwiched between two undyed pieces and placed to cover the heat pads and the test goes on for a preset time period. The fabric pieces should be picked up immediately. The undyed fabric pieces will be stained by the dyes. This gives the sublimation fastness ...

what is the Working Principle of fogging tester?

Fogging Test Chamber   is the best tool to determine the fogging characteristics of automotive or other vehicle interior materials. The fogging tester is applicable for gravimetric method, photometric method and haze measurement method. Working Principle: The main frame of the Fogging tester includes a water sink fully filled with specified ethylene glycol, which can reach a high temperature. At the time of testing, leather specimens are put in the six standard glass containers filled with  high temperature liquid, and the stainless steel containers are placed above each glass. Relying on the constant water flow distribution, the temperature can maintain at 20℃ constantly, and it can be adjusted through the regulation device connected to the main frame. This controlled environment condition will generate a layer of “fog” on the surface of specimens. The operator can determine the fogging characteristics of materials based on gravimetric analysis method or refraction...
